Hello again, and a big fat merry christmas to ya, wether you like it or not. Ha! Hehe, I'm just getting quite psyched over how the current project is going... it shall be ours, and we shall rule the cosmos! HAhaha!. Oh sorry, I wasn't watching my delusinal meter there and it got outa hand, but not much.
OK, enough rambling, on with the show, er, page. This time I'm not only adding more stuff to the Custents Inside page, but I've also finally remember to Xmasify my page at least a bit with some seasonal music. :)
However, something that you guys will hopefully like even better than that, is the new HTMLized Custents entity documentation. I didn't really have time to do this, but I don't care. All I had to do was trim down the ones I did for the project I'm workin' on and wala, I had Custents documentation. :) These should help you guys find the information you need on different things much easier. Hey guess what... yup, I am indeed still alive. :D I know, I know, I've been doing a crummy job of updating, but I've got pleanty of reason (don't we all).
Anyway, I just couldn't help but update with word of a new TC that I've tried out that I just absolutly love, Target Quake by Avatar. This is a TC that turns Quake into a good 'ol fasioned 2D side-scrolling shooter, but with the wonder 3D graphics of Quake. This is a truly fun game to play, so go get it if you haven't tried it yet. :)

Just a quick update to let you know that I am still alive and haven't suffered a massive heart attack from working on Apocalypse too much, which in the words of Steve Fukuda is, "A bad thing". :)
I've got a few new appitions to the think tank for you to go quizical over. Two of them are not like the others, two of then are not the same... Hehe, yea that was a song sung in some old kiddy show from when I was a wee nipper (I think Romper Room) but it's still pertinante. Take a look and it'll be less painfull on your brain.
Um... oh wait... Shoot... I started this update before school, and finished it after school, and I think I forgot something I was going to add in here. Hmm, oh well. I guess I'll just go through and clean up my links page. Hehe, still got that Respawn link up there, which, if you follow it, will notice no longer even exists. :P
Oh yea, and I decided to move the Apocalypse gifs just below the first update so that I can still have them up here while letting you guys see more easily when I've updated. Hope you don't mind. ;)
And yes, I DO like ending statments with a face that shows what sorta humor you're supposed to get outa it, so there. >P

First off, I'd like to say two things relating to my RL of recent past. Warning, the second one is of something that really ticked me off and if a bit graphic, so please self sensor as you see fit. Thank you.
OK, now that I've gotten that outa my system (literally and metaphorically), I guess I should let you guys know why I made you endure that small yet zealously discriptive rant. I've done a small update to my downloads page. There's a new UTILS.ZIP there to be had. It has a new QBSP and a new VIS in it. Both are quite a bit better than the ones that I used before. So if you use the ones that I had posted before, go get the ones I have posted now. Oh yea, and this QBSP works wonderfully through Worldcraft. Fellow WCers, rejoice!
One last thing to note. I've added a simple little color coding thinggy to the downloads page, so now you can easily find the newest posted stuff just by finding the bright cyan entry.

Well, I kinda forgot to upload it and make the link for it... at least I remembered to mention it... right? ugh, I guess that's what I get for doing some modeling for Apocalypse instead of just letting Ethan do it. :P Oh well, it'll look really cool when I'm done. Seems the Custents Help Board script is broken. It's not making an followup links in the messages. Ugh. It'll be fixed some time.
Matt Lee (programmer of the editor Qoole) has made up the Custents 5.2 entity definitions for Qoole. He's calling it a beta release, so please report any bugs in it to him.
Me bud Jimmy McKinney has been working on a potentially REALLY cool project. It's a database of all the entities in several different patches that will be able to generate and export entity definition files for any editor he writes an export code module for. He's almost done with the BSP module and will do a Worldcraft, Qoole, and qED modules once he figures out how their entity definitions work. This project will releases of entity definitions for all of the afore mentioned editors at the same time as the release of a new Custents version. Which will be very good news considering how little I've done in that departmant lately. :P
... and the Apocalypse drudges on... check out the latest update on the Apoc page if you haven't already. Shows what a really "productive" IRC chat is like. (hehehe... yea right)

There was a very good reason that I was gone for so long after the hack attack, I was making... a new version of Custents! I've make a TOTALLY kickass new addition to the Custents exclusive lineup. Trains can now clone themselves! This means making things like esclators and moving walkways with just a path and only one or two trains, instead of dozens and dozens of trains. Check it out! Oh yea, and I've added in all the cool new stuff from Rogue's mission pack. Hehe.
In the way of editor support, I've only gotten the Worldcraft entity definitions done. This is because I use it to make the demo maps and debug Custents. So don't worry, I haven't forgotten any of the other editors. Updated entity definition files for editors like BPS and qED will be out some time. I'm hoping that the maker of Qoole will be putting out an updated version of that editor's entity definitions. At that time I will add it to this page for everyone to find easily.
Remember to READ TO DOCUMENTATION! You wouldn't believe how many asked question could be easily taken care of by just doing that. It'll save us both headaches... unless you can't read much without getting a headache, then you're in for it. : P

Man, I've been wanting to update for several days now, but we had to get the moving done with first, but we're now all nice and comfy at the Warzone (appropriate for me don't you think :) and almost all is now well again.Comming soon to a War Trench near you (here duh) will be a Custents Help Board where you can go to get help with Custents stuff, and also a new version of Custents. You know, the one with the Rogue stuff in it. And don't gimme no lip about how long it took, Steve's been keepin' me busy, but I like it. : )
I fixed the Apocalypse link in the contents, just incase anyone was wondering about that. And some Apocalyptic hype for you just above. You like? More to come, so get the hype, and spread it like a fine grey pupon spread.
I promise stuff much more worthy of squeazing an updateout of me soon is all goes well.

For those of you who don't know yet, the Quake Lab has moved to Planet Quake! w00p or somethin'.
OK now, I know you mappers are out there. Go to Respawn would ya? They need more l33t mappers. They're resorting to having Nacho make maps. ;) JK... about the resorting thing I mean.
Sorry, still no new stuff for me to put up, one of my spring classes if getting more demanding on time than I wanted it too, but I'm working on something for ya that you should like. I'm going to be adding in all the cool new map thinggys from the Rogue mission pack #2. I've also redone the trap shooters, so now the rockets and lavaballs work corectly, as well as the newly added grenades and arrows. You can also set the launch velocity and the damage they do. Of course, You're not getting the REALLY cool stuff yet... that comes after the Apocalypse... hope you're still around to enjoy it >) HAAAHAHahaha.
I'm OK, really, just still brain fried from the whinter semester... haven't had time to reast my brain still. : P
I'm finally taking my first formal programming course, and even though it's an introductory class, I'm still learning stuff. Ah the wonders of recognized education... and reading ahead : )
Well, I've probably spewed more stuff about myself than you wanted to comfortably know, so I'll go get rested up for wonderfull exam that's comming up. > P chow all, and viva la Trench!

Added a link to the Apocalypse project page. Incase you don't what the Apocalypse project is, it's a TC headed by Steve Fukuda, author of the QuakeLab:Editing. Hehe, we're doing several different things that I've read in a few game magazines being make a fuss about because they are going to be in Quake 2. Well, we couldn't wait that long, so we're break the new ground ourselves. : ) Look out for this one. Oh yea, and all the stuff I'm making for this project will be added to Custents after its release.
That's it besides cleaning up the other buttons to let me add more newones. : P I'm still working on getting that Custents Help to work. If you know how to make a threaded message board, PLEASE email ma at let me know how.

Magna War update: no more alpha version will be available for download. I might make it available again when it gets stable enough for a beta release, but only if you guys want me too. So here's how it's all gunna go down. If I get enough requests (from the same people repetedly doesn't count) then I will make available again as soon as it reaches beta. The alternative is for you to wait around with nothing to play with while you drool over the screen shots that I put up. The choice is yours, make it.
Yes, Monster Mania is no longer here. I've got so much to do on other projects that I didn't have good reason to have it up here. It may be back later, or it may not. Depends on how things go with the other projects. You'll just have to be happy with Custents, Magna War, and eventually, Apocalypse. : )

Woh geez, I feel like I've forgotten how to update. I know all of you are probably wonder what the heck I've been doing all this time, but I've got a good excuse... I've not onle been busier with Apocalypse and Magna War(now that I've got a team :) but RL has not been content to mearly rear it's ugle head, it's being plain mean, but what's a guy to do. At first it started out as a bad day, then a week, and now it's getting dagerously close to being a bad month. blaa. At least I've gotten lots of cool new ideas and also lots-o stuff done on Magna War, which will I will be putting up as soon as I can smash one last bug. I'm thinking about putting up a message board for Custents so that I don't have to answer some questions multiple times, but that's a ways away I think.
No, this isn't just another pure bread rate update(though it's close) I found a new QBSP in the Forge. It's a modified version of Hipnotic's QBSP that doesn't have that anoying directory thing in it. I think that the ptr writing has been optimized for the GL Quake's transparent water.

I've gotten several complaints about the contents not working. I assume it was because of the java stuff. Anyway, I've redone it, so it should work fine for all now. Let know if it doesn't. I can't really tell sence it worked for me before anyways. Oh yea, and just incase, I've made the site names below into links so my a$$ is covered from both ends.

Make sure that you have version 1.67 of the MOD plug-in that was released on 4/23. It supports the compression method that I've used to reduce the music file sizes to about 47% of their original size, so it's definatly worth the download.
OK, here's the preliminary facelift for the Trench. I'd like to make it look even better, so send me any suggestion, html clips, or java applets that I could use to make this one happenin' place. : )
Oh yea, yesterday was my girlfriend's birthday today, so go tell her happy B Day by emailing me and I'll get it to her. Boy I wish she'd get an email address. Oh Well, send her mail to me! Did that make sence?
New Custents... added two new entities and finally took care of those bothersome train flags... they're gone. Sorry, but I just couldn't make them work. The solid and not solid ones will probably be back later. The lighting stuff was moved to a new entity that has even more lighting options.
I've added Custents 5.1 to Magna War for you who want to make REALLY cool tracks for it. ; )
